Brooke turned 16 today! We spent part of the day together, just the two of us. We went into town and did some shopping and had lunch together. It was great to have some one on one time with her. Of course, she just liked getting some new clothes!

We went on a field trip with the kid's from the one room schoolhouse today. We went swimming and it was so much fun! The kids' were doing this great thing where they would count to three, toss in the water rings, count to three again and jump in the pool after their rings. My old camera would never have been quick enough to get them in the air so this was super fun for me!

This is a sugar and creamer set from my grandma's house. I was trying hard to find something to take a picture of tonight and wandering around my house, I spotted these in the cupboard. I decided to take a picture of them for today's post. Looking at them brought back memories of my grandparents basement and the time my siblings and I spent down there watching t.v. and playing games. I could be wrong, but I think I remember this set being in a china cabinet in the basement. It seems like I remember the cabinet being full of different little tea cups and things like this set. It's been a long time since I thought about my grandparent's basement and how much fun we used to have at their house. It's nice to remember those times!

One day I remembered that I had this old gold frame with my pictures. I knew that it would go good in my living room so I found it and pulled it out. I was trying to find a new picture to put in it but the older girls protested. Well, I think Em and Grace did anyway, Brooke probably wasn't around. Anyway, this is a picture of my big girls when they were my little girls! I always loved this picture of them with the beautiful green badlands behind them. I hope to get a chance to stop in the same place this summer and get a picture of all of the girls together. But I may have to buy a new frame for it!

There have been a lot of deer in our coulees lately and I've been trying to get some good pictures of them. It usually doesn't work out the way I would like, but oh well, it is fun anyway. We saw these on our way home. They look so scruffy that the girls thought they looked like llamas!

Just yesterday our roads finally dried up. We actually went on our first walk before supper last night. The road was finally dry enough so we got the strollers out and went walking. It was wonderful to be out in the fresh air. Then this morning I heard the rain pounding on the house. It was really coming down. By the time I got up, this is what was there to greet me as I looked outside. Big, fluffy snowflakes. Once again the kind that look so beautiful when it is that first October early snowfall. Not quite as pretty in April. I have to admit it was pretty cool though when we thought we heard the snow plow driving by only to go to the window and discover it was thunder. Really loud thunder in the middle of a snowfall. Quite an interesting spring day as far as the weather goes. I am happy to report though that the roads are good as it all melted instantly on the highway.

The sky was looking so pretty tonight with bright orange colors. But of course by the time I grabbed my camera and made it outside it was already fading. Now by the time I got up the hill high enough to get a good picture, the beautiful orange was gone. But Grace and I did get a nice evening climb up the hill and I took this picture of her for her blog.
