Life is Good, Too

This blog is simply a picture a day blog with the challenge to do it for a year. My friend Brandy and her mom, Robyn, started their POTD (Picture Of The Day) blogs at the beginning of the year. When I bought Brandy's old camera from her, I decided I would join them in this little adventure. My goal is to slowly learn how to use my new camera with settings other than automatic, and to learn how to edit pictures on the computer. If nothing else, it will be a reminder of our daily life this year, what we were up to, what the kids' were doing, and how much everyone has changed. I hope you enjoy the small glimpse into our lives.

Lydia goes to bed at night in our room because she absolutely refuses to behave in the bedroom with her sisters. When we go to bed, we just put her to bed in her room. Well tonight when I walked in my room she was awake sitting up so I told her to go ahead and go to her bed. Off she went...and then this is where I found her...conked out on the living room couch!

This here cookbook is the reason for my massive summer weight gain. But was it worth it? Oh definitely yes! From the tons of guacamole that we made to the red velvet cake that weighed a ton, it was all so good and so worth the cost of bigger jeans. This is why we need to get back on schedule. Five days in Fargo followed by an afternoon visiting Josh at his rig leads to a little girl who is so overtired she can't stop crying, not even for oreo dessert. It was a quick bath and straight to bed for this little one. I hope that getting back on schedule tomorrow puts her in a better mood!

Can you see the guy up there? He's in the derrick and let me tell you it is a long way up there! Today we went to visit Josh at his rig. We were pretty excited to get to see them pulling pipe. We have heard about it alot since Josh used to work up in the derrick so to see it up close was fun.
